We believe in one God, who is the creator of both Heaven and Earth, who eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
About the Scriptures
We believe the entire Bible is God-breathed and that men were inspired by the Holy Spirit to write the words of Scripture; therefore, the Bible is without error.
We believe that man was created in the image of God to have a relationship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort or works.
We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. Self-improvement or good works does not make up for your sins. Salvation only comes through turning away from your sin and placing your faith and trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
About being a Follower of Christ:
We believe a Follower of Christ means not only hearing, but doing what Jesus did. Followers must serve, invest, and love people. It is our duty as Followers to lead others to Christ.
About the Church:
We believe that the church is the hope of the local-community and of the world. The church should operate under three principles:
- The church is the society that carries out the will of God.
- The church is the expression of the Kingdom.
- The church must be a united community on mission to leading people to Christ.
We believe that Baptism is the next step for those who accepted Jesus Christ to declare publicly they are following Him. This is a step of obedience according to God's commands and follows Jesus' example, who was also baptized.
About the Lord's Supper:
The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience in which followers of Christ through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, remember His death and anticipate His second coming.
