3/29 Update: Living with the end in mind

Mark 13:37 “And what I say to you I say to all: Stay Awake.

The definition of awake is to cease sleeping; to wake up; to become conscious or aware of something.

We are asking our CHC family to please join us in watching the service online this week. Pastor Zack will be teaching from Mark 13. Use the questions below to begin a discussion about how we can be watchful, ready, encouraging and helpful. Join us in praying for our community as we navigate through this season of opportunity.

Don’t Panic: Pause (Pray)

Mark 13:3 says when Jesus spoke about the end the disciples went to him in private.

  1. In what ways can I be more watchful in prayer this week?
  2. What’s my prayer plan? (Mark 1:35- Make a daily prayer list)

Don’t Panic: Prepare (Promise)

Mark 13:31 “Heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away.”

Psalm 119:148 “My eyes are awake before the watches of the night that I may meditate on your promise.”

  1. Do I have a relationship with God?
  2. Is my relationship with God awake?
  3. Do I have a set time and place to meet with God this week?
  4. What promise will I meditate on this week and hide in my heart?

Don’t Panic: Promote (Hebrews 10:25)

Hebrews 3:13 “But exhort one another every day, as long as it’s called today.”

  1. Who is someone I can encourage today?
  2. What family member will hold me accountable to follow through with this?

Don’t Panic: Praise

Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”

Jeremiah 29:11

Stop right now and praise God for ten things. You can use your fingers to count on as a visual.

We hope you have a wonderful week! We look forward to hearing how God is moving in your family during these Dinner Time Reflections. Please share with us any stories or praises you have this week. We want to celebrate with you.

Mid-Week Connect

A couple of times a year, we invite folks to come together at the church on Wednesday evenings to discuss important and relevant topics usually associated with a special sermon series. We also use this time to get to know each other better and to lift each other up in prayer. Stay on the lookout for announcements regarding our next Mid-Week Connect session!

Small Groups

Small Groups are a part of your next steps in order to grow in faith and become a stronger follower of Jesus Christ. Some of our groups meet on Sunday morning while other groups meet throughout the week. Take the next step and join a small group. You'll be glad you did!
