5/31 Update: the church defined

Acts 1:1&2 “ In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen.”

I John 2:5&6 “But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.”

This week, we want to focus on the 4 components of church.
1) The person- Jesus
2) The people- the body of Christ
3) The power- the Holy Spirit
4) The plan- our mission

Go back and look at Acts 1:1&2. When I say look, I mean really let God use his word to speak to you. Don’t rush this. Jesus gave his life for you so that you could enjoy living for him. Take some time and really enjoy intimacy with him. These 4 components are what Jesus describes as the church. How are you putting these into practice?

Have a great week!

Mid-Week Connect

A couple of times a year, we invite folks to come together at the church on Wednesday evenings to discuss important and relevant topics usually associated with a special sermon series. We also use this time to get to know each other better and to lift each other up in prayer. Stay on the lookout for announcements regarding our next Mid-Week Connect session!

Small Groups

Small Groups are a part of your next steps in order to grow in faith and become a stronger follower of Jesus Christ. Some of our groups meet on Sunday morning while other groups meet throughout the week. Take the next step and join a small group. You'll be glad you did!
